Flange Dot Peen Marking Machine
The flange dot peen marking machine is the rotary station in our pin-marking range. Use it when the indent must sit on the outside or side of a round workpiece — flanges, pipe fittings and similar bosses — rather than on a flat coupon. A pneumatic or electromagnetic stylus indents serials, logos and 2D codes 0.1–1 mm deep, material dependent, while the part turns on the rotary.
Best for
- Flanges, pipe fittings and round bosses that need an OD or side ID
- Repeat circumferential marks at a bench, not in the yard
- Indented serials and logos that must survive paint and handling
Not for
- Nameplates and small flats on the table (benchtop)
- A chassis, tank or installed plant in the field (handheld)
- Fine jewellery surfaces (gold fiber)
vs siblings
Same pin process as benchtop. The difference is the rotary and the stylus path on the OD. Handheld still goes to the part when the workpiece cannot come to a station.

Why this model
An indent on the side of a round part, without treating it as a flat nameplate or a field VIN job.
FAQs
- Why not use the benchtop?
- Benchtop is the table station for flats and small fixtured parts. This format is for when the mark must sit on the OD or side and the part turns on a rotary.
- Will it mark a chassis in the yard?
- No. That is handheld. This machine stays on the floor as a station.
